Blogger is driving me nuts!

I have been trying to post for more than SIX DAYS!!!  Blogger is giving me fits.  I am thinking about switching to Wordpress.  Someone mentioned Windows Live Writer to me, so I am trying this first.  I have reviews to post, so this needs to work!

jc and madelin

I didn’t get to post my favorite photo for Friday, so I am posting today. :)  This is JC and Madelin.  Madelin is my brother’s little girl.  Isn’t she beautiful?

We don’t have a daughter, so our nieces are very special to us.  JC always wanted a little girl, so he enjoys spending time with our nieces- all six of them!  :)

Okay, let’s see if I can get this to post on my blog.  (Crossing fingers!!)  If so, reviews to soon follow…

REVIEW: So Cozy Swimmer's Shampoo

During the summer months my family spends a great deal of time at the pool. We love the sunshine, cool water, and fun times with friends. What we don't love is what the chlorine does to our hair.

We have tried numerous shampoos to rid our hair of pool chemicals, but have not been completely happy with any of them, so I was thrilled when I was recently asked if my boys would try So Cozy Swimmer's Shampoo.

So Cozy hair products are made with vitamins and minerals that are gentle enough for children. Not only are the products all-natural, they are paraben free as well. The fact that they smell great too is one of the things kids like about them.

I love So Cozy Swimmer's Shampoo. It has left the boys' hair feeling soft again. The boys especially love the green apple scent. This is definitely a product I need to keep on hand during the summer!

You can try So Cozy Swimmer's Shampoo, as well as any of the other fantastic line of So Cozy hair products, by visiting their website.

REVIEW and GIVEAWAY: The Children's Place

It's hard to believe that July 4th is right around the corner! Time to make plans for the celebration. We love spending the 4th of July with friends. Their neighborhood has a big block party- great music, tempting foods, and lots of fun for everyone. Of course, the night is capped off with a magnificent fireworks display. This year, my boys will be wearing their new outfits from The Children's Place.

I have been a fan of The Children's Place clothes for many years. I appreciate the great quality (What mom doesn't appreciate clothing that will last through many washings and still look brand-new?) and affordable prices, and my kids love the trendy style of the clothes. When I was approached about doing a review of some summer clothes, I eagerly accepted.

Ian was sent the Americana patchwork shorts, the Americana hoodie, and flag flip flops.

The patchwork shorts are fantastic! Ian loves plaid and patchwork shorts, so these are perfect for him! In fact, he said they fit so well and are very comfortable, so he wants to wear them everyday. I appreciate the adjustable waist which allows us to keep the shorts fitting comfortably for Ian.

From the website:
In lightweight 100% cotton
Pre-washed for softness and to reduce shrinkage
Yarn-dyed for long-lasting color
Inner adjustable button tabs let him customize his fit
Classic flat front, Bermuda-length fit
Two front slant pockets and two back slit with button closures
Button zipper fly; belt loops
Imported

The Americana hoodie is stylish and constructed of a soft cotton. I only wish it weren't white. White clothing + my boy at a barbeque = laundry nightmare for me! Honestly, though, I love this hoodie because even after I washed it, it didn't shrink.

From the website:

  • In super-soft peached cotton with brushed cotton/polyester fleece back for cozy warmth Pre-washed to reduce shrinkage so a great fit is guaranteed every time
  • Zip-front style has an easy pull tab for quick dressing
  • Coverstitched seams and canvas taping at inner neck for long-lasting wear
  • Rib-knit trim at cuffs and bottom for a shape-keeping fit
  • Unfinished seams at Kangaroo pockets for rugged appeal
  • A flag applique and weathered screen print completes the look
  • Imported

The flag flip flops are adorable! I only wish I could pick up more for the local store, but unfortunately, they were a hot item, and our stores are sold out. Ian tells us that they are the most comfortable flip flop he's ever worn!

Jacob was sent Freedom swim trunks and a Rock Out graphic tee.

The Freedom swim trunks are perfect for Jake. He looks great in the navy and white stripes. I like the durability of the material which I have come to appreciate from The Children's Place.

From the website:

  • In fast-drying, pieced polyester twill
  • Peached for softness Fully lined in polyester taffeta for added coverage
Polyester mesh lining has elasticized leg openings for a secure fit Elasticized waist has a pre-tied lace closure
  • Back waistband has locker loop for convenient hanging
  • Designed with two front pockets
  • Side bellows pocket secures with hook-and-loop closure; grommets drain out water; finished with an American-flag applique
  • Fashioned with contrast bar tacks for long-lasting wear and a cool finish
  • Faux fly
  • Imported

The Rock Out tee is one of my favorite items. I love the graphic design- so stylish! The material is soft and a great medium-weight. Once washed, I noticed that it did not shrink at all. Now that it has been washed several times, I haven't noticed any fading at all. This tee is a terrific quality shirt.

From the website:

  • In comfy 100% combed cotton jersey
  • Pre-washed for softness and to reduce shrinkage so a great a fit is guaranteed every time
  • Easy-on, pullover style has rib-knit trim at crew neck for a shape-keeping fit
  • A tagless neck label ensures itchless comfort
  • Designed with a fun graphic that he's sure to love

  • New Way to Play - Slip the Nunchuk into the specially designed leg strap and hold the Wii Remote in your hand to track your movements from both your upper and lower body. A resistance band is also included to increase the intensity of exercises such as bicep curls and shoulder presses.
  • Workout Your Way - Circuits can be customized to your interest and fitness level. Choose your duration, intensity level & set your own goals for calories burned and workout score.
